We completed a month of having held the II Conference of OAA 2016 in Bogota-Colombia at the Meeting House of San Pedro Claver.
Delegates from the countries of: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile V Region Colombia, Mexico, Puerto Rico and represented Canada,, Chile – Valparaiso, USA, Paraguay participated; Also on Thursday 20 Training for Nurses, students, teachers with participation of 40 attendees and on Friday 21 training for Ostomates and Caregivers with assistance of 30 attendees, plus three international observers and 5 national.
The programming for this event was carried out with total success and the best evaluation by the attendees, having developed topics of great interest for health professionals and Ostomizados and caregivers.
Dr. José Alejandro Polanco (Director of the Publicity Program of the University of Bogotá, Jorge Tadeo Lozano, specialist in medical anthropology, and the reasons and motivations of his doctoral thesis “La Vida Discreta” on the research he did with The participation of the Ostomized people of the Colombian Association, in order to make known the day to day of a person with Ostomy, interested in sensitizing members of the government. Health professionals and other professionals and entities interested in working for the Ostomized .
A Conversation with Professor Jose Castillo Sierra, Creative Director of the Designand Publicity Program of the University of Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano and a group of students of the In House Program was also held, who give advice and support in the projects of different groups, Among them our Colombian Association of Ostomizados who has been favored and we have managed to strengthen and update our purposes and activities.
On Saturday 22, programming was dedicated to all matters of the OAA Region, such as the presentation of the 2013-2016 management of each of the member Associations in the region, the election of new OAA and ALADO Committees for The period 2016 – 2019,

In the framework of this meeting, the Dr. Harikesh Buch Award for Professional Service was awarded to Dr. Fernando José Soria, a surgeon at the National University Hospital of Cordoba, Argentina, who has been in the service, advising and training of Nurses and Ostomized not only from Argentina, but from several countries in South America.
At the same meeting was also given a plaque of recognition for its management as president OAA period 2013 -2016 to Mariela Acero de Romero.
The Argentine Association of Ostomized Association (AADO) was renounced as a member of IOA, OAA and ALADO
The closing of the II Conference of Conferences OAA 2016 was held, with a dinner.
