The Archie Vinitsky Awards 2026

During the 2023 Singapore conference of the ASPOA region, two candidates were given honor as the recipient of the Archie Vinitsky Awards. They were Ria Smeijers of the Netherlands and Dr. Harikesh Buch of India. Although, both were unable to attend, they have given word and gratitude for the honor bestowed on them.

The said award is the highest accolade given to individuals who have dedicated their lives for the best interest of ostomates as what Archie Vinitsky did when he was alive.,

The lead convener for ths year is Jon Thorkelsson along with Barry Maughan who was a previous awardee. The nomination include the following awards as well:

a. Archie Vinitsky Awards

b. IOA Professional Services Award now known as Harikesh Buich Professional Services Award.

c. 20 – 40 Yound Adult Award now known as Linda Aukett Young Adult Award.

We hope that the ideals of Archie Vinitsky continue to live among many individuals who have given their lives for the welfare and rehabilitation of ostomates.
